So here I am writing a quick update because I am so swamped with orders and trying to keep a decent stock that I can only spare a little time. Here goes, I’ll try and keep this brief but informative with lots of pictures.

Meet Owlie, I know it’s an uninspired name but cute none-the-less. We are working up a line of owls. CB loves owls so she is making a bunch of them in all colors and sizes. See the example below for the idea. If we get enough comments we might do a video how-to. He is, approximately, 6 inches by 6 inches, made from mohair yarn stuffed with polyester.

As for what we’ve been up to beyond Owlie, Farmers market season just came to a close so that should make more time for projects, blog entries, and videos. I look forward to updating you all. We have been filling custom orders like crazy; dogs, hats and fabric wedding flowers. If you are in the Denver area, feel free to come see CB’s merchandise, in the fluff, at The MarketPlace at Belmar. It is an artisan boutique located at Alameda and Wadsworth where the old Villa Italia used to be.
Enjoy

I was playing with the idea of animals and unique ways to exaggerate them. The goal was to make them more lovable. With that in mind, I stretched out their arms and legs, fattened up their head and body, and minimally stuffed them for the soft feel. The initial result, Walley Floppz, a sheep, sold within 3 days of completion, the second, an unnamed horse, sold within minutes of completion. The second sold so fast I didn’t even have time to name him, poor guy. The third, Benny Ploppz, another horse, just sold this week after living at The MarketPlace at Belmar for a week. Pictures below. Please suggest other animals you’d like to see in the Floppz Family.
Enjoy!

So I am working on a lot of projects and custom orders right now and didn’t want you to feel too left out. I’m sorry it’s been a while but time sure does fly. Here is an overview of what I’ve been doing the last month and I’ll begin posting pictures and stories shortly. I’ve been made full-time employee at The MarketPlace at Belmar and Social Media Coordinator. In short, I’m in charge of their Facebook and getting their web-presence up to snuff for the 21st century. If you simply can’t wait to see what I am going to post here on the blog you can browse through The MarketPlace’s Facebook page for a small glimpse. The girls and boys hats have really taken off and I almost can’t meet the demand. On top of that, custom dog orders have expanded to custom animals and pets. CB-Crochet is charging ahead strong, I’ll update you all soon!
Enjoy.

Hello All,
One of my fellow artist had to put her dog Mishka down.
She and Misha were VERY close and she has had a hard time with it.
SO all of us at the MarketPlace decided it would be a great idea to have something made for her….
Holly (the owner of the shop) decided that I should re-create Mishka in crochet!
SO I would like to share with you all the finished product!

Hello!
I know it has been a while since I created a post…
I have been really busy with my business and babysitting for a family friend who went out-of-town..
BUT I am back!
I received the cutest custom order on Saturday that I would like to share with you!
A women came into The MarketPlace at Belmar looking for headband that an artist who no longer sells with us made.
Of course we did not have any,
and she went on to tell me that this head band is the only head band that her 4 year almost 5-year-old daughter would wear.
So I ask why, and she said it was the thickness of the band and the swede underside that made it comfortable
and easy for her daughter to wear.
I asked her if she would like me to try to create something like it, and without hesitation her said YES!
She also informed me that Pink and Purple where the only colors that her daughter would wear.
I was so EXCITED!
I LOVE a challenge and creating NEW things!
So here are some pictures of the head band!
I will give it to her tomorrow and she if her daughter likes it… fingers crossed!
